Soil Health Seminar and Inaugural Meeting of the Youth Editorial Board of Acta Pedologica Sinica and Soils Held in Nanjing
From May 5 to 8, 2024, the Soil Health Seminar and Inaugural Meeting of the Youth Editorial Board of Acta Pedologica Sinica and Soils were successfully organized by Editorial Offices of Acta Pedologica Sinica and Soils, and the SSSC Working Committee of Soil Science Edition and Term Verification in Nanjing, attended by over 150 youth editors from domestic universities and research institutes.Dr. Deming Chen, Director of the Editorial Offices of Acta Pedologica Sinica and Soils chaired the opening ceremony, Prof. Xiaoyuan Yan, SSSC Secretary General and ISSCAS Deputy Director, and Dr. Yonghua Gai, ISSCAS Secretary of the Committee for Discipline Inspection, delivered welcome speeches. Certificates were awarded to the members of the Youth Editorial Board. During the seminar, Prof. Yan He from Zhejiang University, Prof. Peng Wang from Nanjing Agriculture University and Prof. Renkou Xu from the ISSCAS presented invited reports while Prof. Bo Xiao from China Agricultural University, associate Prof. Zhongxiu Sun from Shenyang Agricultural University, Prof. En Ci from Southwest University and other youth editors presented session reports.The meeting of the Youth Editorial Board was chaired by Dr. Ping Lu, Director of the Center for Journal Publication and Documentation, ISSCAS. Engaging discussions were made among the youth editorial board members giving advice for the journal level classification, selection standards of youth editorial board members and journal impact improvement.
