On November 28, the recipients of the second phase of the “China Excellence Action Plan for Scientific and Technical Journals” were announced. Pedosphere, Acta Pedologica Sinica and Soils were selected.

The second phase of the China Excellence Action Plan for Scientific and Technical Journals (2024-2028) is a collaborative initiative led by seven ministries and commissions, including CAST, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the National Press and Publication Administration, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The plan consists of five sub-projects: English single journals, Chinese single journals, new high-impact journals, development of high-level editorial talent, and cluster (group) pilot projects. This phase will span five years.
