On June 30, Prof. Yowhan Son at Korea University, visited the institute at the invitation of ISSCAS Youth Innovation Promotion Association.

During the symposium, Prof. Yowhan Son delivered a lecture titled “Nature-based solutions for sustainability: focusing on afforestation in arid regions”. He elaborated on the interactions between climate change, forests and biodiversity, emphasizing soil’s critical role in these processes. Following the presentation, Prof. Son engaged in discussions with attendees on carbon sequestration in farmland soils.
