From August 21 to 23, 2025, the International Conference on Cross-border Soil Remediation and Fertile Soil Cultivation was successfully convened in Nanjing, organized by the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The event brought together over 130 experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives from multiple countries and regions, including China, South Korea, Spain, and Japan. Officials from the Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology and the Wuxi Association for Science and Technology also attended the conference.

Prof. Yan Xiaoyuan, ISSCAS Deputy Director, and Vice President and Secretary-General of the Soil Science Society of China, delivered the opening address. The plenary session featured seven distinguished experts who explored the application of remediation technologies and methods for cultivating healthy soils. In parallel sessions, experts and graduate students engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on key issues such as soil health and agricultural sustainable development.
