The Institute of Soil Science has established a base for postdoctoral scholars engaged in soil science and plant nutrition. It is also a doctoral degree conferring station for eligible post-graduates in disciplines of agricultural resources utilization (soil science and plant nutrition), and sub-disciplines of ecology and environment science. In addition, it covers more disciplines for Master student, including soil science, plant nutrition, ecology, environmental science, soil and water conservation, and desertification prevention. Currently, there are 120 PhD students. 118 Msc. students and 10 post-doctors. It is, therefore, an important training base for senior soil scientists.
