January 9, 2008 National Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in the Great Hall of the People. The Project “Studies on Greenhouse Gas (CH4 and N2O) Emission from Wetland Ecosystem in China” was awarded second class National Natural Science Award. It was presided by the Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), chiefly finished by Prof. ZuCong Cai, GuangXi Xing, Hua Xu, XiaoYuan Yan, WenXin Ding et al..
