Founded in June 1987, this station is located in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province. Being one of the key member stations of both the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN) and the National Ecosystem Research Network of China (CNERN), our mission is to deliver the knowledge and new practices to reconcile agricultural development and eco-environmental protection, especially for the delta region of the Yangtze River. Our researches and demonstrations cover: biogeochemical cycling of nutrients and their environmental impact in the rice paddy, vegetable and orchard systems at medium and long-term scale, resource reuse and pollution control in the peri-urban ecosystem, constructions of models for digital and eco- high-value agriculture, establishing decision support systems for optimizing agricultural resources and regulating eco-systems services. These researches will provide science basis and technical support for sustainable development of eco-environment and construction of beautiful countryside at regional level.
